Issues in Internet Law Celebrates 10th Anniversary

(October 14, 2015) - October marks the 10th anniversary of the publication of Issues in Internet Law: Society, Technology, and the Law. The first edition of Amber Book Company's landmark title – then entitled Issues in Internet Law – was published in October 2005, a mere 250-page, 7.5" x 9" paperback. Revised to include the latest legal cases and statutes, as well as changes in technology, the book has been published annually since then.

Issues in Internet Law became Issues in Internet Law: Society, Technology, and the Law with the second edition in 2006. In between publication of the third and fourth editions, in 2008, Amber Book Company released a Revised Edition in a new 7" x 10" size. The fourth edition, which came out later that year, and all succeeding editions have been printed in that trim size. The first hardcover edition was also published in 2008 and a hardcover version has been offered every year since.

In 2014, Amber Book Company contracted with VitalSource, the world's top e-textbook delivery system to produce and distribute an electronic version of Issues in Internet Law: Society, Technology, and the Law, beginning with the 8th edition. In November 2015, Amber Book Company published a special 10th anniversary edition of Issues in Internet Law: Society, Technology, and the Law. An exclusive Amazon.com edition was released in January 2016.

The book, which features the company's Weimaraner mascot Amber seated at a computer chatting on a dating Website, has often been requested by bookstore clerks who can't remember the title but asked for "the Internet law book with the dog on the cover."

Over the past decade, Issues in Internet Law has grown from an obscure 250-page book to a 586-page book used not only as a resource by business owners, lawyers, and IT professionals but also as a textbook by colleges and universities around the world.
